The purpose of this research is to identify the reasons behind the sustainability of architecture in a historical complex and its relevant criteria. Maymand’s cultural landscape, registered in the World Heritage List in 2015, was selected as a case study due to the existence of different settlements and architectural characteristics. In this research, during a four-year (1394-97) study, review of textual sources, in-depth interviews, and participatory observation were carried out to identify the architectural characteristics of the three settlements in Maymand, and finally, data was analyzed and sustainability criteria identified. The results of the research show that the architecture in Maymand is in full interaction with the characteristics of the landscape, and it is considered sustainable only when it reflects the lifestyle and activities in the cultural-natural context. The sustainability criteria in this research help realize this cultural significance. معماری بومی که به‌لحاظ اصالت و سازگاری خود با تغییرات در طی سالیان سال به‌خوبی از پس فرازونشیب‌های تحولات برآمده، گواه و سند گویایی برای بازشناسی اصول و ویژگی‌های لازم در یک معماری ماندگار و پایدار است. هدف از این تحقیق، بازیابی پایداری و معیارهای مربوط به آن در معماری یک مجموعۀ تاریخی است. در این میان، منظر فرهنگی میمند که در سال 1394 در فهرست میراث جهانی قرار گرفته است، به‌دلیل وجود استقرارگاه‌ها و معماری متفاوت که تداوم زندگی سنتی هنوز در آن وجود دارد، به‌عنوان نمونۀ مورد مطالعه انتخاب شده است. در این تحقیق، از روش مطالعۀ موردی استفاده و بر اساس آن در یک برنامۀ زمانی چهارساله (1394 تا 1397) و با ابزارهای مطالعۀ اسنادی، مصاحبه‌های عمیق و مشاهدۀ مشارکتی، ویژگی‌های معماری در سه استقرارگاه منظر فرهنگی میمند، شناسایی و در نهایت از طریق بررسی و استخراج مصاحبه‌ها، مؤلفه‌های مرتبط با پایداری مشخص و دسته‌بندی شدند. روش کنترل و اعتبارسنجی از طریق مراجعه به افراد و به‌ویژه کارشناسان بومی حاصل شد. نتایج تحقیق نشان می‌دهد معماری منظر فرهنگی میمند در تعامل کامل با ویژگی‌های سرزمینی است و معماری زمانی می‌تواند به‌عنوان یک عامل پایدار مطرح شود که متکی بر سبک زندگی و فعالیت‌های منطبق با بستر فرهنگی‌طبیعی باشد. مجموعه این عوامل القاکنندۀ اعتبار فرهنگی به‌ویژه اصالت آن مکان است. شاخص‌های پایداری تحقیق به آشکار کردن این اعتبار فرهنگی کمک کردند. https://jias.kashanu.ac.ir/article_111842_ae4f0563a588135df9a97847c556d3ba.pdf
